2024 Qatar Grand Prix ended with the victory of the current Formula 1 champion

2024 Qatar Grand Prix ended with the victory of the current Formula 1 champion of Max Verstappen.

Max started today from the second position and already in the first corner passed pole-sitter George Russell. Later the main competitor of Verstappen became the leader of Mclaren Lando Norris, but Grand Prix stewards interfered in this struggle, deciding to give the Englishman a severe penalty for speeding under yellow flags - "10 seconds stop-and-go".

As a result, Norris dropped from second place to last and only at the end of the race managed to climb into the top-10. The loss of points directly affected the battle between Mclaren and Ferrari for the Constructors Championship - now the trophy will be constested in the last race of the season, which will be held in a week in Abu Dhabi.
