Portuguese coach Luís Castro firmly believes that Cristiano Ronaldo, his former player at Al-Nassr, has the potential to become the first footballer to score 1,000 goals, provided the right conditions are in place.

“This won’t just depend on him; it will also rely on the context,” Castro explained during an interview with Marca. “We worked hard to maximize Cristiano’s impact, and in 2023, he finished as the top scorer with 54 goals. I truly hope the environment around him stays favorable so he can achieve the 1,000-goal milestone.”

Castro also reflected on Ronaldo’s exceptional professionalism and dedication: “Cristiano has always strived to be the best, and that will never change. You witness it every day—his constant drive to play, break records, and score incredible goals. When you’re close to him, you understand why he’s a phenomenon. His determination is remarkable, and he’s fully aware that football has given him almost everything. His love for the game is evident in everything he does.”

This milestone would further cement Ronaldo’s legendary status in the football world.
