AC Milan head coach Paulo Fonseca has heaped praise on Napoli, acknowledging their form ahead of a highly-anticipated Serie A clash at San Siro on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Milan will face league leaders Napoli at the San Siro. The Partenopei are currently on an eight-game unbeaten run, having accumulated 22 points.

"As the table shows, Napoli are on a great run. They are leading the league and will come into this match highly motivated. We are just as eager to face such a strong side that has been winning with confidence," said Fonseca in his pre-match press conference. "Right now, they are the best team in Serie A. I see them as genuine title contenders."

Fonseca was also asked about Milan's own title ambitions. "Absolutely, we are contenders," he affirmed. "Our fans should have faith because this is a strong team that is constantly improving. We believe we can challenge for the Scudetto."
