The 29-year-old Spaniard will take charge of the Serie A side starting July 1st

Parma have officially confirmed the appointment of former Arsenal assistant coach Carlos Cuesta as their new head coach, marking a bold and ambitious move by the Italian club.

The 29-year-old Spaniard will take charge of the Serie A side starting July 1st, having signed a two-year deal that runs until June 2027, with an option to extend for a further season.

Cuesta spent the last five years as a key part of Mikel Arteta’s coaching staff at the Emirates Stadium, playing an integral role in Arsenal’s rise back to the top tier of English football. Despite his age, Cuesta quickly earned the trust of the dressing room and was seen as one of Arteta’s most influential assistants.

Before joining Arsenal in 2020, Cuesta spent two years working within Juventus' youth academy as an assistant coach, giving him valuable experience in Italian football—experience he will now bring to his new role in Emilia-Romagna.
