According to reports from Italy, Juventus has reached an agreement to terminate the contract of midfielder Paul Pogba.

The French international was handed a four-year ban from football after failing a routine doping test following a Serie A match against Udinese in August 2023. That suspension was later reduced to 18 months, meaning the 2018 World Cup winner could have returned to action early next year.

However, with Juventus embarking on a new era under head coach Thiago Motta and revamping their midfield, Pogba’s time at the Allianz Stadium appears to be over. Local outlet Ilbianconero.com reports that Juventus and the 31-year-old have mutually agreed to part ways.

The decision allows the Turin club to save an estimated €10 million in salary expenses.

End of an Era for Pogba and Juventus

Pogba's second stint at Juventus never lived up to expectations, marred by injuries and off-field issues. Once a pivotal figure in their midfield during his first spell, the Frenchman has struggled to make a meaningful impact since returning from Manchester United in 2022.

With this move, Juventus can now focus fully on their new project, while Pogba faces an uncertain future in football, both professionally and personally.
