Claudio Ranieri, the head coach of AS Roma, addressed the media ahead of the upcoming Serie A match against Lecce, set to take place on December 7. The veteran manager discussed his expectations for the team and shared thoughts on forward Artem Dovbyk.

"We Need Determination on the Field"

"I need a team that steps onto the field without thinking about the opponent's name and fights for every ball," Ranieri emphasized. "We've shown this resolve in matches against Napoli, in London, and against Atalanta. I want to see that same determination. We are a strong squad with quality players, and we need to deliver. December will reveal who we are and what we truly want to achieve."

On Artem Dovbyk

Ranieri also commented on the performance of Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbyk, noting areas for improvement. "In attack, Dovbyk needs to be better. However, he fought hard against his opponents and won many duels," the manager said. "At the moment, he’s not in great shape—he’s dealing with a cold. I’m not sure if he’ll be available for the match against Lecce. I need to assess his condition as I don’t yet know if he’ll be able to train tomorrow morning."

As Roma prepares for this crucial December fixture, fans will be keeping an eye on the Serie A table to see how their team performs during this decisive period of the season.
