Fenerbahçe Signs a Defender from the Premier League, but It's Not Zinchenko
Diego Carlos is moving to Fenerbahçe. The Istanbul club has reached an agreement with Aston Villa for the transfer of the center-back.
It is worth noting that earlier in January, there were reports about Fenerbahçe's interest in the Ukrainian player Oleksandr Zinchenko. The Turkish side was considered one of the main contenders for the Ukrainian's transfer during the January window. However, instead of a deal with Arsenal, they finalized an agreement with Aston Villa.
The transfer fee for Diego Carlos will amount to 10 million euros. The Birmingham club sold the Brazilian to free up funds for the purchase of Loïc Badé from Sevilla.
