Antonio Conte Wants to Bring Sudakov to Napoli
The likelihood of Georgiy Sudakov joining Napoli remains high, with the Italian club’s head coach, Antonio Conte, reportedly keeping the Ukrainian midfielder in mind as a potential replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who recently moved to PSG.
According to Calciomercato, Conte was furious with the club’s transfer campaign, particularly the failure to find a replacement for Kvaratskhelia. He has made it clear that the situation must be resolved before the summer transfer window closes, demanding a solution well in advance of deadline day. The two primary candidates on his radar are Edon Zhegrova from Lille and, of course, Sudakov. Both options will be pursued simultaneously.
While Zhegrova and Sudakov play different roles — Zhegrova being a left winger and Sudakov an attacking midfielder — Conte will be looking to add more flexibility to his squad. Although it’s hard to directly replace Kvaratskhelia with Sudakov, the Ukrainian's versatility would allow Conte to build a more dynamic attack, making the most of his existing players.
