Nicolò Schira reports that Monza has made the decision to sack Salvatore Bocchetti

Italian insider Nicolò Schira reports that Monza has made the decision to sack Salvatore Bocchetti and bring back their former head coach, Alessandro Nesta.

In late December, Monza parted ways with Nesta and appointed Bocchetti. However, this managerial switch did not have the desired effect—Monza won only one match in Serie A, with the rest resulting in losses. Currently, Monza sits at the bottom of the Serie A table with just 13 points.

According to Nicolò Schira, this poor form led the club's management to make the decision to bring Alessandro Nesta back. The 48-year-old coach's new contract will run until June, with an option for an additional season.

It is expected that Nesta will lead his first training session of 2025 as early as tomorrow.
