Allegri vs. De Zerbi and Fàbregas: Milan's Search for a New Manager
AC Milan has begun its search for a new manager, with current coach Sérgio Conceição unlikely to continue beyond this season. According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club's owner, Gerry Cardinale, and CEO, Giorgio Furlani, recently met in New York to discuss the future of the Rossoneri. Their conclusion? Massimiliano Allegri should be the key to steering Milan back on track.
Allegri, who previously managed Milan from 2010 to 2014, is seen as the preferred candidate to take over at the San Siro. The Italian tactician has been without a job since his controversial departure from Juventus at the end of the 2023/24 season. Sources indicate that Milan is actively working to convince Allegri to return to the club this summer.
While other names, such as Roberto De Zerbi and Cesc Fàbregas, remain on the shortlist as viable alternatives, Allegri's experience and familiarity with the club make him the top choice.
