In the 29th round of Serie A, Torino secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Empoli, thanks to a goal from Nikola Vlašić. Ukrainian midfielder Viktor Kovalenko came on as a substitute in the 76th minute but was unable to help his team avoid defeat.

Vlašić's decisive strike came in the second half and despite Empoli's efforts to equalize, Torino's defense held firm to secure all three points.
