Tottenham Eye Mykolenko as Backup Option for Left-Back Reinforcement
Ukrainian left-back Vitaliy Mykolenko could be on the move from Liverpool to London, swapping Everton for Tottenham Hotspur. According to unofficial reports from Yardbarker, the 24-year-old has caught the attention of Spurs' management, albeit as a backup option for strengthening their left flank this summer.
Tottenham's primary target for the position is Rayan Aït-Nouri from Wolverhampton Wanderers, with the North London club reportedly ready to shell out €35 million for the Algerian defender. However, if a deal for Aït-Nouri falls through, Spurs will turn their attention to two alternative options: Mykolenko and Miguel Gutiérrez from Girona.
For Mykolenko, a move to Tottenham may not be the most enticing prospect, given his established role and consistent playing time at Everton. Despite the Toffees' struggles this season—they currently sit in 15th place in the Premier League—the Ukrainian has been a reliable presence in Sean Dyche's side, helping the team maintain a safe distance from the relegation zone.
