Marseille Open to Signing Paul Pogba in the Summer
Olympique de Marseille president Pablo Longoria has confirmed that the club considered signing Paul Pogba during the January transfer window, but ultimately decided against the move due to concerns over team balance.
“We discussed the possibility,” Longoria told El Larguero, “but we felt his recovery could disrupt the team’s equilibrium.”

However, the situation could change in the summer. “Players like Pogba always have value in the transfer market,” Longoria added, leaving the door open for a potential deal ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Pogba is currently serving an 18-month suspension for a doping violation, but with his ban reduced, the former Juventus and Manchester United midfielder is eligible to return to action as early as March 2025.
