Lyon - Rennes 4:1

Olympique Lyonnais took a massive step toward securing a UEFA Champions League berth for the 2024/25 season, delivering a commanding 4-1 victory over Stade Rennais in last night’s Ligue 1 clash.

Under the guidance of head coach Paulo Fonseca, Lyon were ruthless in front of goal. The scoring began with 20-year-old sensation Malick Fofana, as he was followed on the scoresheet by midfield engine Corentin Tolisso, club legend Alexandre Lacazette, and Georgian international Giorgi Mikautadze.

Rennes managed a single reply, but it wasn’t enough to change the momentum as Lyon cruised to a decisive 4-1 win. The result boosts their hopes of returning to Europe's elite competition after a difficult spell in recent years.
