Notably, his announcement comes just days before FIFA opens a special transfer window from June 1 to June 10, allowing the 32 participating clubs in the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup 2025 to register new signings.

Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December 2022 following the Qatar 2022 World Cup, becoming the first major European superstar to make the move to Saudi Arabia. At the time, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner hinted that he could finish his legendary career with the Saudi club.
