A highly anticipated return to the San Siro for one of Italy’s most decorated tacticians

AC Milan have officially confirmed the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri as the club’s new head coach, marking a highly anticipated return to the San Siro for one of Italy’s most decorated tacticians.

Allegri began his managerial career in Italy’s lower divisions in the early 2000s before making his Serie A debut with Cagliari in 2008, earning widespread praise for his tactical nous and team organization.

He first took charge of AC Milan in 2010, leading the Rossoneri to their 18th Scudetto in his debut season and clinching the Italian Super Cup in 2011. His success earned him a move to Juventus in 2014, where he dominated domestic football — capturing five Serie A titles, five Coppa Italia trophies, and two Italian Super Cups during his two stints (2014–2019 and 2021–2024) in Turin.

According to earlier reports, Allegri is set to sign a 2+1 year contract with an annual salary of €5 million.
