The deal includes a one-year contract with an option to extend for a second season

Veteran midfielder Luka Modrić has reportedly reached an agreement to join AC Milan, according to Italian journalist Daniele Longo. The Croatian legend is expected to complete his move from Real Madrid after undergoing a medical early next week, likely on Monday or Tuesday.

The deal includes a one-year contract with an option to extend for a second season. Modrić will earn around €4 million per year, including performance-based bonuses.

The 39-year-old playmaker, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders of his generation, made an impressive 57 appearances across all competitions for Real Madrid last season, contributing 4 goals and 9 assists despite his advanced age.

If confirmed, the move would mark a sensational switch to Serie A and further strengthen Milan's midfield options as the club looks to build on their domestic and European ambitions for the upcoming campaign.
