Paul Pogba Linked with Monaco Move as Ligue 1 Return Looms
World Cup winner Paul Pogba could be handed a lifeline back into professional football, with reports suggesting AS Monaco are considering a move for the 32-year-old midfielder.
According to Foot Mercato, Pogba — currently a free agent following his suspension for doping and subsequent release by Juventus last November — has recently been offered to Monaco. The principality club are in search of an experienced and creative midfielder as they prepare for their return to the UEFA Champions League.
Pogba will be eligible to play again from March 2025 after serving his ban, and Monaco are reportedly evaluating whether the risk of signing the former Manchester United and Juventus star could pay off.
The Ligue 1 side have already strengthened their squad with the acquisition of Eric Dier from Bayern Munich and are said to be close to securing a deal for Ansu Fati from Barcelona. If Pogba can regain fitness and form, his experience and vision could offer a major boost to Monaco’s ambitions next season.
