Official: Marco Baroni Appointed as New Torino Head Coach
Torino FC have officially announced the appointment of Marco Baroni as their new head coach. The 61-year-old Italian tactician has signed a two-year contract and will begin his tenure on July 1.
Baroni replaces Paolo Vanoli, who was relieved of his duties on June 5 after a disappointing season. The club will now look to Baroni’s experience and leadership as they aim to reestablish themselves in the top half of Serie A.
The veteran coach most recently managed Lazio, guiding the Roman side to a 7th-place finish in the league while also reaching the quarter-finals of both the UEFA Europa League and the Coppa Italia.
Baroni is expected to bring a structured, defensive-minded approach to Torino, a club known historically for its grit and resilience. His proven ability to organize squads and compete in multiple competitions could prove vital as the Granata look to bounce back in the 2025/26 campaign.
