Liverpool Submit Record-Breaking £113M Offer for Florian Wirtz
Liverpool have submitted a sensational new bid worth £113 million — approximately €140 million — for Bayer Leverkusen's attacking midfielder Florian Wirtz, in what would be a club-record transfer.
The Reds’ proposal includes a guaranteed £100 million fee, with an additional £13 million in performance-related bonuses. The offer marks a bold move by the Merseyside club as they look to strengthen their midfield with one of Europe’s most exciting young talents.
Bayer Leverkusen, however, remain firm. The German champions have previously made it clear that Wirtz will not leave unless his full release clause — set at €150 million — is met.
Liverpool are eager to complete the deal before the end of the week, hoping to register Wirtz in time for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup. But time is running out, and all eyes are now on Leverkusen’s response.
The 21-year-old Germany international has been a standout performer in the Bundesliga, playing a key role in Xabi Alonso’s title-winning side. With elite dribbling, vision, and tactical intelligence, Wirtz is widely seen as a generational talent - and Arne Slot’s side are pulling out all the stops to bring him to Anfield.
