Rangers' 2025/26 Scottish Premiership Fixtures: Russell Martin Era Begins with High Expectations

After finishing a distant second behind Celtic last season, trailing their bitter rivals by 17 points, Rangers have ushered in a new era. The summer appointment of Russell Martin as head coach signals a fresh start — and with it, renewed hope of wrestling back control of Scottish football.

The campaign begins with a tricky away trip to Motherwell on 2 August, before back-to-back home games against Dundee F.C. and St Mirren at Ibrox. However, it’s the Old Firm showdown on 31 August that will be circled on every Rangers supporter’s calendar. A home fixture against Celtic so early in the season could set the tone for what’s to come under Martin’s leadership.

The festive period features a run of home games — against Motherwell and St Mirren — before a daunting trip to Celtic Park on 3 January, a match that could have serious implications for the title race.

The spring schedule presents challenges of its own, most notably a second meeting with Celtic at Ibrox on 28 February, before key fixtures against Aberdeen, Dundee United and Falkirk in April. By then, Martin's impact — and Rangers’ title credentials — should be well and truly clear.
