Manchester City delivered a statement performance to wrap up the group stage of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, dismantling Juventus 5-2 to finish top of their section. Pep Guardiola’s side now await the runners-up from Group H, while Juve will face a mouth-watering clash with Real Madrid in the last 16.

The game burst into life early on. Jeremy Doku broke the deadlock with a slick finish into the far bottom corner, but City’s lead was short-lived — Ederson’s errant pass gifted Teun Koopmeiners the equaliser just two minutes later.

More chaos followed. On 26 minutes, Pierre Kalulu inadvertently turned a low cross into his own net in what looked more like a clean strike than a defensive clearance.

After the break, it was one-way traffic. City asserted their dominance and scored three more times, showcasing their attacking variety with a flowing team move, a long-range stunner, and clinical finishing that overwhelmed the Italian defence.

Dusan Vlahovic managed to pull one back for Juventus late on, finishing off a rare counterattack in the 84th minute, but the damage had long been done.

City top the group. For Juventus, a blockbuster showdown with Real Madrid awaits.
