Bologna Submit €30M Offer for Shakhtar Donetsk Star Kevin
Bologna have launched an ambitious move to sign Shakhtar Donetsk winger Kevin, widely regarded as the Ukrainian club’s standout performer last season. According to Globo Esporte, the Serie A side have submitted an official bid totalling €30 million – with €25 million paid upfront and an additional €5 million in performance-related bonuses.
The deal is further complicated by a sell-on clause involving Palmeiras, Kevin’s former club. As per the agreement signed during his move to Ukraine in January 2024, the Brazilian side are entitled to 10% of any future resale fee – a detail that could influence the final negotiation structure.
Shakhtar Reluctant to Sell Their Top Talent
Though Shakhtar signed Kevin from Palmeiras just 18 months ago for €12 million, they stand to make a significant profit if they accept Bologna's current offer. However, the Ukrainian club are reportedly reluctant to part ways with a player who has quickly become a vital part of their squad.
Kevin’s current market value, according to Transfermarkt, remains at €12 million – a figure that perhaps underrepresents his real impact and potential. Shakhtar insiders believe he still has much more to offer, and selling him now might be premature unless Bologna increase their bid.
