The deal marks a strategic move by Mikel Arteta, aiming to reinforce midfield depth ahead of the 2025/26 campaign

Arsenal have completed the signing of Danish midfielder Christian Nørgaard from Brentford, in what is seen as a direct replacement for the recently departed Thomas Partey.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the Premier League switch cost the Gunners around £10 million. The deal marks a strategic move by Mikel Arteta, aiming to reinforce midfield depth ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Proven Premier League Pedigree

Nørgaard arrives at the Emirates with extensive top-flight experience. The 30-year-old made 196 appearances across all competitions for Brentford, including 122 Premier League matches. He also registered 13 goals and 18 assists during his time with the Bees.

His leadership, tactical intelligence, and ball-winning ability are expected to fill the void left by Thomas Partey, who recently exited Arsenal after four seasons in North London.
