Liverpool Submit €80M Bid for Hugo Ekitike - Frankfurt Reject Initial Offer
Liverpool FC have launched a major move in the summer transfer window by submitting an opening bid of over €80 million for Hugo Ekitike, the 23-year-old forward currently playing for Eintracht Frankfurt, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.
Romano reports: "Liverpool have submitted official bid to Eintracht for Hugo Ekitike! Eintracht already informed Liverpool that they want more, proposal rejected but it was initial contact as talks continue. Ekitike said 𝐲𝐞𝐬 Liverpool, no issues on personal terms".
Meanwhile, Newcastle United have officially pulled out of the race to sign Ekitike. The Magpies are now focusing their efforts elsewhere, with Brentford’s 28-year-old striker Yoane Wissa emerging as a key target.
