Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly on the verge of completing the signing of Ukrainian international

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly on the verge of completing the signing of Ukrainian international Illia Zabarnyi from AFC Bournemouth, according to BBC Sport.

The French champions are believed to have reached an initial agreement with Bournemouth for a fee of around £52 million, with talks ongoing regarding potential performance-related bonuses and contract add-ons.

Bournemouth were initially holding out for approximately £59 million (€70 million), hoping to capitalise on another major sale after recently sending left-back Milos Kerkez to Liverpool for a reported £40 million.

Zabarnyi, one of the standout young defenders in the Premier League last season, is currently with the Bournemouth squad in Chicago, where the Cherries are finalising their preparations ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

As for PSG, the newly-crowned UEFA Champions League winners are set to resume pre-season training on August 4, giving them time to finalise the deal and integrate the 21-year-old into the squad.
