Gibbs-White Signs New Deal with Forest, Crushing Spurs' Transfer Hopes
Morgan Gibbs-White has signed a new three-year contract with Nottingham Forest, putting an end to Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of signing the talented midfielder this summer.
Spurs had reportedly attempted to trigger a buyout clause earlier this month but failed to reach an agreement. The situation escalated when Nottingham Forest filed an official complaint to the Premier League, accusing Tottenham of acting improperly during their approach for the 24-year-old.
That dispute now appears to be settled — and decisively not in Tottenham’s favour. Forest have secured the long-term future of their star man, announcing that Gibbs-White has extended his stay at the City Ground until 2028 in what the club described as a “record-breaking deal”.
