PSG Issue Ultimatum to Gianluigi Donnarumma Amid Lucas Chevalier Deal
Paris Saint-Germain are on the verge of completing the signing of Lucas Chevalier from Lille, a move that could spell the end of Gianluigi Donnarumma's time in the French capital.
The 25-year-old Italian goalkeeper is reportedly unwilling to accept a significant pay cut, with PSG no longer prepared to offer his current salary of €12 million per season. This financial standoff has accelerated the club’s decision-making process, with contract talks now reaching a boiling point.
According to Get French Football News, PSG have issued Donnarumma a firm ultimatum: “Renew your contract or leave the club.” With just one year remaining on his current deal, the club is determined not to repeat the situation they faced with Kylian Mbappé, who left for free to join Real Madrid earlier this summer after declining a contract extension.
With Chevalier set to arrive and the writing on the wall, sources close to the situation say Donnarumma has already opted for the exit door.
