The 28-year-old has signed a contract with the Bavarian giants until June 30, 2029

FC Bayern Munich have confirmed the signing of Colombian winger Luis Díaz from Liverpool, ending days of speculation with an official announcement published on the club’s website.

The 28-year-old has signed a contract with the Bavarian giants until June 30, 2029, and will wear the number 14 shirt at the Allianz Arena. While the club has yet to disclose the financial details, reports suggest the deal is worth €70 million plus €5 million in add-ons. This makes Díaz the third most expensive signing in Bayern's history — behind only Lucas Hernández (€80M) and Harry Kane (€95M).

Luis Díaz joined Liverpool in January 2022 from FC Porto in a €54 million move. Though his original contract was set to run until 2027, the arrival of a new manager last season reportedly impacted his role within the squad.

Despite that, Díaz delivered a solid 2024/25 campaign, tallying 17 goals and 8 assists across all competitions.
