The Ivory Coast international has signed a five-year contract with the Premier League side

Aston Villa have officially confirmed the signing of Evann Guessand from OGC Nice in a deal worth up to £30 million.

The transfer includes an initial fee of £26 million, with a further £4.3 million in performance-related bonuses. The Ivory Coast international has signed a five-year contract with the Premier League side, keeping him at Villa Park until 2030.

Guessand enjoyed a breakout campaign in Ligue 1 last season, netting 12 goals and providing 7 assists, finishing as OGC Nice's top scorer.

He is expected to fill the void left by Marcus Rashford, who returned to Manchester United this summer following the end of his loan spell at Villa.
