The 25-year-old Uruguayan forward has agreed to a three-year deal with the Saudi Pro League side

Liverpool FC have officially confirmed that striker Darwin Núñez has left the club to join Saudi giants Al Hilal.

The 25-year-old Uruguayan forward has agreed to a three-year deal with the Saudi Pro League side, marking another major move in the league's ambitious drive to lure top talent from European football.

The Reds will receive a fee of €53 million plus add-ons, according to club sources - a figure that reflects both the club's valuation of the player and Al Hilal’s determination to bolster their attacking lineup.

Núñez, who joined Liverpool from Benfica in 2022 for a fee that could have risen to €100 million, endured a mixed spell at Anfield. Last season, he made 47 appearances across all competitions, scoring just 7 goals and providing 5 assists - numbers that fell short of expectations for a marquee striker.
