Gianluigi Donnarumma Bids Farewell to PSG
Gianluigi Donnarumma has officially announced his departure from Paris Saint-Germain, ending a turbulent chapter with the French champions. The Italian goalkeeper, sidelined in recent weeks by head coach Luis Enrique, shared an emotional farewell message via Instagram on Tuesday night.
“From day one, I gave everything — on and off the pitch — to earn my place and defend the badge of Paris Saint-Germain. Unfortunately, someone decided that I could no longer be part of this group or help the team. That hurts and it’s deeply disappointing,” wrote Donnarumma.
He also expressed a desire to say goodbye to fans in person at the Parc des Princes, but acknowledged that might not be possible: “If I don’t get that chance, know this — your support and warmth have meant the world to me. I’ll never forget it. The emotions, the magical nights, and all of you who made me feel at home will stay in my heart.”
The 25-year-old also paid tribute to his teammates: “Thank you for every battle, every laugh, every shared moment. You’ll forever be my brothers. Playing for this club and living in this city was a tremendous honour. Thank you, Paris.”
