Milan Ready to Offer Two Players in Bid for Artem Dovbyk
AC Milan have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbyk as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new Serie A season, according to Voce Giallorossa.
The surprise interest comes after Milan’s failed attempt to land Manchester United forward Rasmus Højlund, whose price tag proved too steep due to the Premier League club's financial demands. Dovbyk — currently with AS Roma — has now emerged as a top target for the Rossoneri, who see him as a dynamic addition to their frontline.
Sources indicate that Roma are open to parting ways with the 27-year-old, as manager Gian Piero Gasperini reportedly doesn’t see the Ukrainian international in his tactical plans. However, the Giallorossi are said to value Dovbyk at no less than €30 million.
To avoid a heavy cash outlay, Milan have proposed a swap deal, offering American midfielder Yunus Musah and young defender Davide Bartesaghi in exchange. Roma are believed to be intrigued by the proposal, especially as Gasperini sees untapped potential in both players.
