Nick Woltemade Set to Become Newcastle's Record Signing in £69m Deal
Newcastle United are on the brink of smashing their transfer record with the signing of German striker Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart in a deal worth a staggering £69 million (€81 million).
While the transfer has not yet been officially completed, both clubs have reached a full verbal agreement. Woltemade is undergoing his medical today, after which the contract is expected to be signed.
Breaking Isak’s Record – and Replacing Him
Woltemade's arrival will break the previous club-record fee set by Alexander Isak, who joined Newcastle for £63 million. Ironically, it is Isak whom the 22-year-old Woltemade is expected to replace in the squad, amid growing speculation around the Swede’s future.
