Report: Atlético Madrid Showing Interest in Shakhtar Duo

According to Ukrainian journalist Ihor Burbas, Atlético Madrid have set their sights on two rising Brazilian talents from Shakhtar Donetsk — Eguinaldo and Nevertton. The Spanish giants are reportedly monitoring the pair closely as potential future additions to Diego Simeone’s squad.
Discussions about the players are said to be happening directly between Atlético head coach Diego Simeone and Arda Turan, who currently manages Shakhtar. The two men share a strong connection from their time together at Atlético during Turan’s playing days under the Argentine coach.
“I know for sure that Simeone is asking Turan specifically about Shakhtar’s Brazilian players. Both Nevertton and Eguinaldo are on his radar. Simeone is genuinely interested because Atlético Madrid sees real potential in them. I can confirm that he personally inquired about these two players,” Burbas revealed. “As for what kind of feedback Turan gave him — that I don’t know — but Atlético are definitely tracking them.”
Both Brazilians have been in fine form recently, with Eguinaldo and Nevertton scoring the decisive goals that secured Shakhtar Donetsk’s 3–1 victory over Dynamo Kyiv in their latest Ukrainian Premier League clash.
