Giacomo Raspadori Returns to Reinforce Atalanta

Atalanta have officially confirmed the signing of Giacomo Raspadori, marking a swift return to Italy for the versatile forward after a brief and challenging six-month stint with Atletico Madrid. The move is seen as a timely boost for Bergamo’s side as they look to restore depth and sharpness in attack.
Raspadori arrived in Spain last summer with high expectations, but consistent opportunities proved hard to come by in Diego Simeone’s tightly structured system. Despite that, the 24-year-old still managed to feature in 15 matches across all competitions, contributing five goals and assists — respectable numbers given his limited minutes.
Crucially, Raspadori brings with him valuable pedigree on the biggest stages. He is a proven performer in the UEFA Champions League and has already scored 11 goals for the Italy national team, underlining his reputation as a forward capable of delivering under pressure.
There is also a neat sense of symmetry to his return. His most recent international goal for Italy came at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo — now once again his home ground.
