Ruud van Nistelrooy Joins Koeman’s Coaching Staff with the Netherlands National Team

Ruud van Nistelrooy has officially been appointed assistant coach of the Netherlands national team, working alongside head coach Ronald Koeman, the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) has confirmed.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker will take up his new role from 1 February, joining an experienced backroom team that already includes Erwin Koeman and Wim Jonk. The move adds further pedigree and attacking expertise to the Dutch setup as preparations continue for upcoming international tournaments.
For van Nistelrooy, this appointment represents a familiar return rather than a new beginning. The legendary forward has previously been part of the Netherlands coaching staff on two separate occasions, making this his third spell within the national team structure.
