Anthony Gordon is set to become the latest high-profile arrival at Barcelona, with the Catalan giants reaching a full agreement to sign the Newcastle United winger in one of the summer’s standout transfer deals.

Reports from the Spanish media had initially revealed that negotiations between the clubs were progressing positively, before transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the move is now effectively completed and all major details have been agreed.

Barcelona will pay a fixed fee of €70 million for the England international, while an additional €10 million has been included in performance-related bonuses.

The 25-year-old winger is expected to arrive in Spain on Thursday to undergo his medical examination and finalise contractual formalities before being officially unveiled as a Barcelona player.
