Borussia Mönchengladbach have officially confirmed the signing of Ukrainian right-back Yukhym Konoplia. The 26-year-old joins the Bundesliga side as a free agent following the expiration of his deal with Shakhtar Donetsk.

All agreements between the parties have been completed, the player successfully passed his medical examination, and Konoplia has signed a contract running until June 2029.

Konoplia reportedly received interest from several other European clubs, including Werder Bremen and Ajax, but ultimately decided that the project in Gladbach offered the best opportunity for the next stage of his career.
