Lewandowski Set to Sign Lucrative Two-Year Deal with Chicago Fire

Robert Lewandowski has arrived in Chicago and is on the verge of completing a move to Chicago Fire in Major League Soccer (MLS). Barring any last-minute complications, the former Barcelona striker is expected to put pen to paper on a highly lucrative two-year contract.
Despite receiving interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, Lewandowski opted against a switch to the Middle East. The Polish forward also showed little interest in extending his stay at Barcelona, with the financial gap between the two offers proving too significant to ignore.
According to reports, Chicago Fire will pay Lewandowski a net salary of $15 million per season, with performance-related bonuses potentially adding another $5 million annually. The package comfortably exceeds the earnings the veteran striker received during his final season at Barcelona.
