Tottenham Hotspur have officially completed the signing of Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United, securing one of the biggest transfers of the summer. The 26-year-old Italy international joins the North London club as their new central midfielder.

According to previously reported figures, Tottenham agreed a deal worth £100 million (approximately €117 million), making Tonali the most expensive signing in the club's history. Remarkably, the previous transfer record lasted just four days after Tottenham paid £85 million to sign Mateus Fernandes from West Ham United earlier this month.

Sandro Tonali arrived at Newcastle United from AC Milan in the summer of 2023 in a deal worth €61 million. During his time at St James' Park, the Italian midfielder made 110 appearances in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists.
