Venezia claimed their first points of the league campaign in stunning fashion, beating Napoli 1-0 in the seventh round of Serie A. Akor Adams scored the decisive goal in the 49th minute to deliver a shock result against one of Italian football's biggest clubs.

Adams' strike finally jolted Napoli into action, with the visitors launching wave after wave of attacks in the second half. Despite registering 20 shots after the break, they could not find a way past Filip Stankovic, whose goalkeeping helped Venezia hold on for a memorable victory.

The defeat marks the third loss in seven league matches for Massimiliano Allegri's side. Their position in the title race is becoming increasingly concerning, with the gap to Inter Milan standing at nine points when accounting for points dropped.
