Everton Beat Newcastle 3-1 to Reach Carabao Cup Quarter-Finals

Everton secured an impressive 3-1 victory over Newcastle United to book their place in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup, overcoming the absence of Jack Grealish, who was left out of the squad following a disciplinary issue. Ukrainian defender Vitaliy Mykolenko started for the Toffees, played until the 87th minute and received a yellow card during a determined performance.
Goals from James Garner, Hayden Hackney and Thierno Barry secured the victory for the Merseyside club. Newcastle United managed to find the net through Dan Burn late in the game, but his effort proved little more than a consolation as Everton comfortably saw out the result.
