Neymar

Neymar edges closer to a return to Al Hilal after almost a year off the field, but a full comeback remains unclear due to pending fitness issues. The Brazilian forward, sidelined by a significant left knee injury, continues to recuperate under the watchful eye of Al Hilal’s coaching staff. Coach Jorge Jesus confirmed that Neymar’s condition will be reassessed in January, delaying any immediate return.

Saudi Pro League: Results & Standings

The 32-year-old's injury woes began with a torn meniscus and anterior cruciate ligament during a World Cup qualifier in Montevideo against Uruguay. Since then, Neymar has only managed five appearances for the Saudi club. Although he resumed training in July, sparking anticipation of his return, the Brazilian star remains on the sidelines.

At a recent press conference, following Al Hilal's victory over Al Bukayrivah in the Saudi King's Cup, Jorge Jesus emphasized Neymar's value to both the team and the Saudi league, stating, "Neymar is an important player for Al Hilal and for the Saudi league in general. However, I cannot specify a return date for him. We will reevaluate the situation in January."

Neymar remains contracted with Al Hilal until August 2025, providing a runway for a full recovery and eventual reintegration into both domestic and continental competitions, as fans await his return to the field with anticipation.
