Yarmolenko: "I’m Sure Mudryk Didn’t Take Any Doping"
Dynamo Kyiv winger Andriy Yarmolenko has shared his thoughts on the positive doping test of Chelsea and Ukraine national team player Mykhailo Mudryk.
Mudryk has been sidelined since November after testing positive for the banned substance meldonium. While the "A" sample confirmed the presence of the substance, the results of the "B" sample are still pending.
"I don’t even know what to advise here. I’m sure he didn’t take any doping. I don’t know how this happened… I hope he will be cleared and can continue playing football and enjoying the game. Because I know how much he loves football," Yarmolenko said in an interview with GG.Sport.
If Mudryk's "B" sample also tests positive, the 22-year-old could face a suspension of up to four years, which would be a significant blow to his promising career.
