Chelsea continued their preparations for the 2026/27 season with a pre-season friendly against Juventus on Tuesday, as one of the night's biggest talking points came with the long-awaited return of Mykhailo Mudryk.

Before kick-off, Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso confirmed that the Ukrainian winger would feature after his doping suspension was officially lifted. The Spanish manager stayed true to his word, introducing Mykhailo Mudryk from the bench in the 82nd minute for his first appearance since returning to competitive action.

The match itself ended in disappointment for Chelsea, who suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat. The only goal of the game arrived in the 68th minute, when Milot Rashica found the net to hand Juventus victory in the pre-season encounter.
