Corey Perry sent the game into overtime with a dramatic equalizer

The Stanley Cup Final is living up to its billing — and then some. In a breathtaking Game 2, the Florida Panthers evened the series with a heart-stopping 5-4 victory over the Edmonton Oilers in double overtime.

It was hockey at its most chaotic and captivating: end-to-end action, acrobatic saves, and pure adrenaline from the first puck drop. Corey Perry sent the game into overtime with a dramatic equalizer just 18 seconds before the end of regulation — a goal that stunned the crowd and gave Edmonton a lifeline.

The Oilers dug deep to force extra time, but fatigue set in. Florida, who had more than enough chances to close it out earlier, were denied repeatedly — once by the post, and again by the heroics of goaltender Stuart Skinner.

But the breakthrough finally came in the second OT. Brad Marchand, even with a partially broken stick, managed to deliver a lightning-quick finish that slipped past Skinner and clinched the win for Florida.
