Mykhailo Mudryk Given 20 Days to Respond to FA Doping Charge
Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has 20 days to respond to formal doping charges brought by the Football Association (FA), according to a report from The Athletic.
The 23-year-old Ukraine international was provisionally suspended from action back in November 2024 following a positive test for meldonium, a banned substance. On Wednesday, it was confirmed that Mudryk had been charged after his “B” sample also returned a positive result.
According to sources close to the situation, Mudryk now has until early July to either accept the violation — and any sanctions that may follow — or dispute the findings and request a hearing with FA representatives.
If it is proven that Mudryk knowingly took the substance, he could face a maximum ban of up to four years under anti-doping regulations.
Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol has reported that the player has enlisted the help of a top legal firm — the same team that successfully reduced Paul Pogba’s doping suspension from four years to 18 months.
