Despite persistent discomfort, Bellingham chose to delay surgery last summer in order to represent England

Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham is set to miss up to three months of action after undergoing surgery to address a long-standing issue with his left shoulder.

The 21-year-old midfielder has been managing the injury since first picking it up during a La Liga clash against Rayo Vallecano in 2023. Despite persistent discomfort, Bellingham chose to delay surgery last summer in order to represent England at UEFA Euro 2024.

Now, with the tournament behind him, the former Borussia Dortmund star has finally undergone the procedure — a move aimed at permanently resolving the recurring issue.

According to club sources, Bellingham will now embark on a recovery programme expected to last around 12 weeks. His return is tentatively scheduled for the highly anticipated El Clásico showdown against Barcelona on 26 October 2025.
