Real Madrid Reportedly Reach Agreement With José Mourinho

Multiple reports in Spain claim that José Mourinho has already signed a contract with Real Madrid, paving the way for a return to the Santiago Bernabéu.
According to the reports, the Portuguese manager has agreed a deal running until 2028, with an option to extend the contract for an additional season.
Real Madrid have yet to make any official announcement regarding Mourinho’s appointment. The delay is believed to be strategic. Club president Florentino Pérez reportedly wants to unveil José Mourinho as part of his campaign ahead of the upcoming presidential elections.
The presidential vote at Real Madrid is scheduled for June 7 and is already being described as the club’s most competitive election battle in two decades. For the first time in 20 years, Pérez is facing serious opposition, with businessman Enrique Riquelme, founder of Cox Energy, emerging as his main challenger.
Mourinho previously managed Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, winning the La Liga title, the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa de España.
